A 67-year-old man stabbed his 35-year-old roommate to death in their apartment Wednesday after a fight about their \u201cliving situation\u201d in a Bronx housing project, according to cops and sources.<\/p>\n
Enoch Rosado allegedly knifed Miguel Batiz multiple times after a fight erupted around 4 a.m. inside their unit within the New York City Housing Authority\u2019s Edenwald Houses on East 229th Street near Laconia Avenue, police and sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The attack left Batiz unconscious and unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His much-older attacker was taken into custody at the scene and was charged hours later with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rosado\u2019s arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was pending Thursday afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

NYCHA regulations require that anyone living together permanently in its facilities must be related or have a family-like relationship.<\/p>\n
However, temporary roommates, who can reside there for up to a year, do not need to be related.<\/p>\n
There is no indication that Rosado and Batiz were related, cops said.<\/p>\n
