{"id":14226,"date":"2025-10-23T21:52:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T21:52:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/14226\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T21:52:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T21:52:07","slug":"gunman-got-ride-from-his-dad-to-murder-rival-in-nyc-parking-lot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/14226\/","title":{"rendered":"Gunman got ride from his dad to murder rival in NYC parking lot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A cold-blooded dad chauffeured his sicko son to a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/tag\/the-bronx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bronx<\/a> laundromat, waited while he gunned down a man sitting in a parked car \u2014 then drove him away from the scene, authorities said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Norman Moore, 64, drove his 24-year-old son Devonte Moore to LaundryBee in Olinville on Oct. 7 at around 6:45 p.m. and opened fire on Fareed Adeyi, 26, who was sitting in a Volkswagen in the parking lot, according to prosecutors and cops.<\/p>\n<p>Adeyi \u2014 who was hit multiple times \u2014 was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he later died, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fareed Adeyi, 26, was shot multiple times as he sat in his car in the LaundryBee parking lot on White Plains Road near Rosewood Street in Olinville, authorities said.  Facebook\/Kareem Adeyi<\/p>\n<p>The accused gunman, Devonte Moore, 24, was allegedly driven to the scene by his dad, Norman Moore, 64, cops and prosecutors said.   Kyle Mazza\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>The elder Moore was picked up by investigators Friday and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He pleaded not guilty during his Saturday arraignment and was ordered held without bail, prosecutors said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The motive for the deadly gun violence remains under investigation.
