\n\tAfter neither team got on the board in the opening frame, Samantha Kelly<\/a> drove home Kendall Penny<\/a> in the home half of the second, as both hit doubles.\u00a0
\n\tTo start the third, San Jose State blasted a tying two-run shot before tacking on a pair of base hits to increase their run total to three by innings end.\u00a0
\n\tTwo separate two RBI singles added four more insurance runs onto the Spartans side of the scoreboard in the fourth inning.\u00a0
\n\tCaitlin Mullen<\/a> pitched the most effective stretch from the circle, allowing one earned run in an inning and a third on just three hits.
\n\tWith the score at 15-2, Kelly connected on another single to collect her second RBI of the day, ending the game at 15-3.\u00a0

\n\tIn the nightcap, it was the Mustangs who got out to the initial lead, as a three-run home run started things off after two base hits.\u00a0
\n\tMore than doubling their advantage by the fourth, Manhattan finally got on the board in the fifth inning after a Brianna Estevez<\/a> single scoring Mullen from second.
\n\tA wild pitch forced a double steal, bringing\u00a0Isabella Coulman<\/a> racing home from third.
\n\tMullen once again proved to be versatile, taking on the final three and a third innings from starter Karissa Spring<\/a>, giving up two earned runs on four hits

\n\tJunior pitcher Caitlin Mullen<\/a> pitched four and two thirds innings throughout both games, allowing a combined three earned runs on seven hits.\u00a0
\n\tSophomore utility player Brianna Estevez<\/a> tallied the most Jasper hits on the day with three, including an RBI in each game.
\n\tFreshman shortstop Samantha Kelly<\/a> tied her teammate for the most runs batted home, with two RBI in the matinee.
