The numbers increased through the afternoon, with roughly 438 Brooklyn customers lacking juice around 11 a.m, expanding to 700 at 1 p.m. Roughly 470 Queens residents had lost power by 1 p.m., and about 1,502 were affected on Staten Island. Manhattan and the Bronx together had roughly 213 customers without electricity at that time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the Mayor\u2019s Office, Con Edison opened a Situation Room, mobilized additional  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/mayors-office\/news\/2026\/02\/mayor-mamdani-declares-local-state-of-emergency--snow-day-for-ny\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">crews<\/a>, has mutual aid on standby, and will be working 24\/7 to respond to any weather-related service issues.
