Mark Sullivan<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of the services went as well as they could and were attended by a small group of family and close friends, including the 3 surviving original members of Kiss,\u201d he added alongside a pic of Frehley\u2019s memorial card.<\/p>\n<p>Trunk, 61, discussed the late rocker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DQIaK9cDSqM\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">memorial and private funeral further<\/a> in a video shared on the social media platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, where he grew up, very close to where his parents were buried, which were his wishes,\u201d the talk show host said regarding Frehley\u2019s decision to be buried in the Bronx.<\/p>\n<p>A memorial card handed out during Frehley\u2019s funeral in the Bronx, New York City, on Oct. 22, 2025. Instagram\/@eddietrunk<\/p>\n<p>Trunk revealed that friends, family and Frehley\u2019s former KISS bandmates were all at his private funeral on Oct. 22, 2025. Instagram\/@eddietrunk<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was not a big event by any means,\u201d Trunk continued. \u201cNothing with fans or anything like that, just a very small private service for Ace. And it was attended by the three surviving members of KISS\u2014Gene, Paul, and Peter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rock icon\u2019s longtime friend, who said that it was \u201cwonderful to celebrate Ace and remember him and give him a good sendoff,\u201d added that he plans to organize a fan tribute concert for the guitar legend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think he\u2019d love that and I think he deserves that,\u201d Trunk concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Ace Frehley attends the Build Series to discuss his album \u201cSpaceman\u201d at Build Studio in New York City on Oct. 16, 2018. Michael Ochs Archives<\/p>\n<p>The Post has reached out to Simmons and Stanley\u2019s reps for comment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/16\/entertainment\/kiss-co-founder-ace-frehley-dead-at-74\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Frehley passed away<\/a> in Morristown, NJ, on Oct. 16. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are completely\u00a0devastated and heartbroken,\u201d Space Ace\u2019s loved ones shared in a statement. \u201cIn his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others,\u201d they continued. \u201cThe magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Simmons, 76, and Stanley, 73, later <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/16\/entertainment\/gene-simmons-paul-stanley-devastated-over-kiss-bandmate-ace-frehleys-death-at-74\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">paid tribute to their late KISS bandmate<\/a> in an emotional message of their own.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley,\u201d they began. \u201cHe was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Simmons and Frehley performing in Los Angeles, California, circa 1977. Michael Ochs Archives<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is and will always be a part of KISS\u2019s legacy,\u201d the pair added. \u201cOur thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shortly before the news of Frehley\u2019s passing, it was reported that the \u201cNew York Groove\u201d artist was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/16\/entertainment\/kiss-co-founder-ace-frehley-on-life-support\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">placed on life support with a brain bleed<\/a>\u00a0after a fall he suffered in his studio weeks prior.<\/p>\n<p>Frehley appeared to mention the incident last month when he canceled a performance in California due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPC36UYjcZv\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=b6e267df-d071-4649-8ac4-9b28dc792bed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u201ca minor fall in his studio\u201d<\/a>\u00a0that resulted in a visit to the hospital. Although he departed the band in 1982 to pursue a successful solo career, he rejoined KISS for a reunion tour in 1996 and stayed until 2002.<\/p>\n<p>The Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Famers made headlines in August when they were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/08\/13\/us-news\/trump-announces-george-strait-sylvester-stallone-michael-crawford-gloria-gaynor-and-kiss-as-kennedy-center-honorees\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced as 2025 Kennedy Center honorees<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA dream come true that I never thought would materialize,\u201d Frehley\u00a0told TMZ\u00a0at the time regarding the honor.<\/p>\n<p>Frehley at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California, on Sept. 14, 2009. REUTERS<\/p>\n<p>Simmons mentioned the annual awards ceremony \u2013 and how his former bandmate wouldn\u2019t be there to celebrate \u2013 during a separate tribute after Frehley\u2019s shocking death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hearts are broken. Ace has passed on,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/genesimmons\/status\/1978970732836036970?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1978970732836036970%7Ctwgr%5E93c325f568672cd8f5ec12369251192a88e84a12%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.billboard.com%2Fmusic%2Fawards%2Face-frehley-kiss-kennedy-center-honors-posthumous-awards-1236091542%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">wrote on X<\/a> last week. \u201cNo one can touch Ace\u2019s legacy. He told me many times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSadder still, Ace didn\u2019t live long enough to be honored at the Kennedy Ctr Honors event in Dec,\u201d Simmons added. \u201cAce was the eternal rock soldier.
