The longtime sex-positive retailer is hosting a farewell sale with up to 40% off storewide as it prepares to close its Village storefront on Saturday, February 28, 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 40% discount runs through the store\u2019s final day of business on February 28. Exclusions apply, but the deals still mark one of the biggest markdowns the brand has offered locally in years. The remaining inventory is expected to move quickly as regulars and curious newcomers alike swing by for a last browse.<\/p>\n

For longtime fans, the closing is sentimental. The Pleasure Chest<\/a> has spent more than 50 years reshaping what a pleasure-focused retail experience can look like\u2014brightly lit, education-forward and entirely inclusive. The closure follows a previously announced consolidation of the brand\u2019s New York footprint. Rather than exiting the city entirely, The Pleasure Chest is focusing its retail operations around its Upper East Side flagship, a larger, more modern space designed to host expanded product lines, workshops and programming centered on sexual health and inclusivity.
