\n\tOne month after opening its flagship in NYC\u2019s Flatiron neighborhood, New Balance<\/a> has landed in SoHo<\/a> with a new store.<\/p>\n

\n\tLocated at 542 Broadway, the 1,800-square-foot space was designed to \u201cvisually intersect sport and culture,\u201d the athletic company said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\n\tExpanding beyond the newly reopened Flatiron flagship<\/a> and existing locations of the Upper East Side and Upper West Side, the company added that the new SoHo<\/a> store \u201cputs New Balance<\/a>\u2019s customer at the center in all aspects \u2013 inspiring shoppers to explore and find their own style.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tChris Davis, brand president and chief marketing officer of New Balance<\/a>, said in a statement that physical retail must be a physical manifestation of the brand\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhile the industry continues to accelerate toward global e-commerce, New Balance is intentionally investing in our store experience,\u201d Davis noted. \u201cAcross thousands of doors worldwide, we are building, remodeling, and reimagining our fleet\u2014not as transactional spaces, but as immersive brand environments. These stores are designed to foster connection, not just conversion, reflecting our belief that meaningful engagement and a positive brand experience is the true measure of retail success.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStephanie Smith, vice president of retail in North America for New Balance, added that the company\u2019s expansion into Soho is a natural move. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe energy of SoHo \u2013 with its rich history alongside relentless creativity and innovation \u2013 mirrors the spirit of New Balance,\u201d Smith said. \u201cOpening here allows us to engage with one of the city\u2019s most dynamic communities at the intersection of sport, style, and culture, while giving our customers a space that\u2019s as inspiring as it is innovative.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAside from its openings in Flatiron and SoHo, New Balance took over the Corner Shop at Nordstrom NYC<\/a> in May. Dubbed \u201cNew Balance @ The Corner,\u201d the shop featured a curated selection of shoes, apparel and accessories for women, men and kids. Customers also had access to limited edition collaborations and customization opportunities.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe three-month pop-up kicked off with a \u201cGrey Days\u201d activation, a celebration of New Balance\u2019s signature color. The shop then transitioned to \u201cFound In New York\u201d for June and July, and featured activations that highlight New York. June featured \u201cIn Bloom,\u201d an experience with Brooklyn-based artist CJ Hendry and Brooklyn Grange Farm. And July introduced the \u201cSubway Series,\u201d a tribute to the interconnectedness of the five boroughs through sport and culture with a curated assortment of shoes and apparel.<\/p>\n
