This is because sunlight does not reach the Moon, and the light that does reach the lunar surface is filtered through a thick slice of Earth\u2019s atmosphere, according to NASA.<\/p>\n When can I see the eclipse?<\/p>\n The best time to see the eclipse will be around 6:03 a.m., and it will last nearly an hour.<\/p>\n Where can I see the eclipse?<\/p>\n New Yorkers are in luck.<\/p>\n This total lunar eclipse will be visible across North America.
