NEW YORK (WABC) — This week’s MTA Hero is Lakisha Smalls, Principal Administrative Associate for the Staten Island Railway.<\/p>\n

She oversees about 120 conductors and operators who work for the Staten Island Railway, ensuring crews are where they need to be to run service.<\/p>\n

She also assists customers at the booth by answering their questions.<\/p>\n

Lakisha was recently recognized for her customer service at the St. George Terminal where she works.<\/p>\n

She’s been with the Staten Island Railway for 10 years.<\/p>\n

Lakisha says she enjoys being a team player and doing her job to the best of her ability.<\/p>\n
