Though the outages were fairly evenly distributed, some neighborhoods were harder hit than others, with entire blocks losing power in some cases. These include Lexington Avenue between Stuyvesant Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard in Bedford Stuyvesant; Troutman Street between Onderdonk and Woodward avenues in East Williamsburg; St. Johns Place between 7th and 8th avenues in Park Slope; and\u00a0 Avenue J between East 13th and East 14th streets in Midwood.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Con Edison is deploying workers around the clock to fix the damages, but some repairs may stretch into Friday. Roughly 3,000 customers were experiencing power issues at 6 a.m. across the utility\u2019s entire service area, which includes all five boroughs and most of Westchester County.\u00a0 Con Ed described the causes as weather-related, in most cases. Melting snow mixed with road salt damages underground electric cables.<\/p>\n<p>To report a loss of electric service, contact Con Edison at 1-800-75-CONED (26633) or online at  <a href=\"http:\/\/coned.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">coned.com<\/a>.
