Sunday. Big fun will arrive in tiny packages at the eighth annual Dairy Block Petite Parade, which plays off Mardi Gras and features miniature floats built from a shoebox base, and pulled on wheels. Bonus points for coordinating team costumes and for creating \u201cminiature parade throws,\u2019 \u201d organizers wrote. \u201cNo glitter bombs, please!\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s free and open to anyone at Lower Downtown\u2019s Dairy Block, where it will take place in the block\u2019s heated alley, and The Maven\u2019s Windsor Room, with post-parade entertainment, live music and more. Prizes will be handed out for Most Original Float, Best Team Theme and other categories.<\/p>\n

Purim Drag Queen Bingo<\/p>\n

Saturday. Denver\u2019s \u201cjoyful, silly, and just a little naughty annual tradition,\u201d Purim Drag Queen Bingo, is back with a theme \u201cthat takes it all the way back to the beginning of humankind: the Garden of Eden,\u201d organizers wrote. The event, timed to the Jewish festival of Purim, encourages themed costumes, includes a costume contest, and features a cash bar and vegetarian appetizers.<\/p>\n

Tuesday. The running group Latinos Run Denver is hosting an all-abilities 5K, brunch and film screening on Sunday, March 1, to support the Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation. The free 8:30 a.m. run and yoga session begins outside REI Denver (1416 Platte St. in Denver) and welcomes all paces of runners and participants.<\/p>\n

After the race, folks can head over to The Outpost (1635 Platte St. in Denver) for the 10 a.m. brunch and a screening of \u201cThe Life We Have,\u201d an award-winning, 24-minute documentary about a runner with cancer, followed by a panel with local advocates and on-site partners who will offer resources for caregivers and patients.
