The change comes ahead of Weinstein\u2019s March 4 court appearance, with a trial date still pending on a third-degree rape charge.<\/p>\n<p>Aidala told the Daily News he will continue handling Weinstein\u2019s appeal of his latest sexual assault conviction, calling it the \u201cmost important part\u201d of the case.<\/p>\n<p>Weinstein\u2019s 2020 rape conviction was overturned in 2024 by New York\u2019s highest court, prompting a retrial last year. A jury convicted him again on one count involving Miriam Haley but deadlocked on Jessica Mann.
