Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>This is at least the second time the pair has met and comes two days after <a href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/bad-policy-but-nice-guy-trump-comments-on-mamdani-during-state-of-the-union\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trump commented on Mamdani <\/a>during the State of the Union, saying the Mayor was a nice guy with bad policies.<\/p>\n<p>He also spoke about Mamdani\u2019s hiring of emergency snow shovelers after the blizzard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey want people to shovel snow&#8230;they got hit hard&#8230;but if you apply for that job, you have to show two forms of ID and a Social Security card,\u201d Trump said, levying one of his common criticisms regarding election security.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was not on Mamdani\u2019s public schedule for Thursday, and the city would not provide details on the context of his conversation with Trump, which the Mayor prefers to be kept private.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A City Hall spokesperson confirmed that Mayor Zohran Mamdani is meeting with President Trump in Washington D.C.
