CONCORD, NH \u2014 A woman from New York City was arrested and held without bail on stalking and violation of a protective order charges after an incident on Loudon Road late last year.<\/p>\n

According to an affidavit, Jennifer Claudio Lopez<\/a>, 35, of Commonwealth Avenue in the Bronx, NY, was arrested on the charges after an officer was watching traffic on Loudon Road by Blodgett Street and reported seeing a 2014 Honda Odyssey with Pennsylvania plates driving west with the driver holding a cellphone around 8 p.m. on Dec. 27, 2025, according to an affidavit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe screen was lit, and the operator was looking at it,\u201d the officer said. <\/p>\n

The minivan was pulled over by the Everett Arena, and the driver, Roberto Payano<\/a>, 37, of an unknown address, was identified as the registered owner, the report stated. He also provided a Pennsylvania license, the officer wrote. However, the report said, his license was suspended<\/a>. Later, it was learned he was actually a resident of New York City, according to an arrest blotter entry.<\/p>\n

Inside the minivan were the driver and Claudio Lopez, who was in the front passenger seat, and four children, ages 2 to 15, according to the report. <\/p>\n

Payano, dispatch said, also had a protective order out against Claudio Lopez. When asked about this, \u201che told me it was \u2018limited\u2019,\u201d the officer wrote, \u201cand he was allowed to be in contact with Claudio Lopez; she was just not allowed to abuse him further.\u201d<\/p>\n

Payano said Claudio Lopez had a photo of an amended order but did not have any proof it was amended, the report stated. Claudio Lopez, too, was unable to provide any proof the order was amended, an affidavit said. The Bronx Criminal Court issued the order seven weeks earlier, ordering Claudio Lopez to \u201cstay away from Roberto Payano,\u201d the report stated. <\/p>\n

Claudio Lopez was arrested, processed, and booked, and then taken to the county jail, and given an arraignment date of Dec. 29, 2025, and held on preventative detention. A bench trial was booked for Jan. 29. <\/p>\n

After being arraigned, a public defender requested a motion to reconsider bail on Jan. 8.<\/p>\n

The attorney said if Claudio Lopez were held until the bench trial date, she would be incarcerated for 33 days before appearing in court again. She also noted Claudio Lopez\u2019s primary language was Spanish, and she required an interpreter. <\/p>\n

Payano received a summons at 1:04 p.m. on Jan. 29 on driving after revocation or suspension, driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent, and operating without a valid license charges, as well as a \u201chands-free\u201d violation.<\/p>\n

Claudio Lopez is due back in court for trial on March 5.<\/p>\n
