Brooklyn indie rock trio My Wonderful Boyfriend released \u201cMy Love, My Darling,\u201d a lovelorn track spanning Alpine heights to cemetery twilight. The band plays Union Pool in Williamsburg on Thursday, March 6 at 9 p.m. with Beck Zegans and Like A Doll.<\/p>\n

The song has a mellow, catchy beat with lyrics pleading don\u2019t leave me lonely, don\u2019t leave me hopeless, don\u2019t make me patient, don\u2019t make me wait like this. The track captures the band\u2019s knack for pairing yearning romanticism with their trademark twangy, clever alt-rock sound.<\/p>\n

The trio features P.J. McCormick on vocals and guitar, Griffin Jennings on lead guitar and Cena Loffredo on bass. All three grew up in New York City but didn\u2019t meet until moving to the Midwest during the Obama era. They\u2019re currently recording their debut LP.<\/p>\n

The band released their EP An Evening with\u2026 in January 2025, following the well-received single \u201cMy New Shirt\u201d in late 2024. Stereogum praised their single \u201cI\u2019m Your Man\u201d as \u201cbilled as \u2018equal parts \u2018Just What I Needed\u2019 by the Cars and \u2018All My Friends\u2019 by LCD Soundsystem,’\u201d calling the five-minute track \u201ca singalong power-pop anthem in its first half that gives way to a triumphant coda.\u201d<\/p>\n
