Hours after an accusation of violence made against newly-hired Falcons coach LaTroy Lewis was made public on Friday, Atlanta dismissed its assistant defensive line coach<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reporter Justin Spiro detailed the allegations against Lewis, who was hired by the Falcons on Feb. 10, stemming from his time as an assistant coach at Michigan from 2023-24.<\/p>\n

A woman claims Lewis, 32, raped and attacked her in separate incidents, according to Spiro, who reported he sent her graphic messages<\/a> \u201ccommanding her to perform various sexual acts on him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The married father of three also supposedly sent her texts reading, \u201cI\u2019m going to f\u2013k you up,\u201d and \u201cI\u2019d f\u2013king kill you! Don\u2019t play with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to ESPN<\/a>, Ann Arbor police are investigating the sexual assault allegations levied against Lewis.<\/p>\n

Per Spiro\u2019s report, when the anonymous woman brought his behavior to then-Michigan coach Sherrone Moore, he dismissed her allegations.<\/p>\n

Moore was later fired in a high-profile incident that included him threatening to kill himself in front of a staff member he was having an affair with<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After Spiro\u2019s report surfaced, the Falcons said they were aware of the allegations, and were \u201cin the process of gathering information and will have no further comment at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lewis is the latest former Michigan staff to be facing legal problems. Moore is facing charges of felony home invasion and stalking charges over his Dec. 10 meltdown. Matt Weiss, fired in 2023 as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, was charged with a 24-count indictment<\/a> in March 2025 over allegations he hacked into students\u2019 computer accounts seeking intimate photos and videos over an eight-year span.<\/p>\n

Lewis played collegiately at Tennessee from 2013-16 before brief NFL stints on the Texans\u2019 and Raiders\u2019 rosters as an undrafted defensive lineman. <\/p>\n

In 2020, the Ohio native moved into coaching, spending time on staffs at Akron, South Alabama and Wake Forest before joining Harbaugh\u2019s Wolverines staff in 2023. He moved to Toledo in 2025 to become its defensive line coach.<\/p>\n
