Police have arrested a man accused of brutally stabbing his Bronx girlfriend to death inside her apartment and severely injuring her son<\/a> in a bloody rampage on Saturday.<\/p>\n

According to police sources, 45-year-old Juan Rivas fled the apartment, located at 956 Sherman Ave. in Concourse, just after 6:40 a.m. on Feb. 28 \u2014 but police were able to catch up to him and take him into custody not long after they discovered the carnage he left in his wake.<\/p>\n

Officers from the 44th Precinct<\/a> responded to 911 calls reporting an assault in progress after neighbors were woken up to the sounds of screaming.\n<\/p>\n

When they arrived at the scene, cops found blood in the hallway of the third floor \u2014 which led them to a more grim discovery.\n<\/p>\n

Inside a nearby apartment, they discovered 42-year-old Yesenia Hall stabbed in the back, stomach, and neck. Her 16-year-old son was nearby, also with stab wounds to his neck and back.\n<\/p>\n

They were both rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where Hall could not be saved and was pronounced dead. The teen remains in stable condition and is expected to survive.\n<\/p>\n

According to police sources, both Rivas and Hall lived together in the same apartment.\n<\/p>\n

He has been charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, criminal possession of weapon and assault.<\/p>\n
