Police say that two people broke into a home in Borough Park on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Officials say the home was located near 39th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway. They say the thieves took more than $3,000, cellphones and various electronics before escaping the area.<\/p>\n
News 12 spoke with the woman whose apartment was broken into. She said she got a call from her neighbor, who told her two men were attempting to get into her apartment to collect items for a person who no longer lived there. <\/p>\n
By the time she told him she had no clue who they were, the two had already broken into her apartment. <\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s neighbor says he chased the suspects down the block and was able to recover a PlayStation, jewelry, and important documents that they also attempted to steal. <\/p>\n
The $3,000 was the woman\u2019s rent money. <\/p>\n
