Retired Binghamton firefighter and paramedic and U.S. Army veteran Mike Bolles announced his candidacy for the 52nd State Senate District for the 2026 election on Monday.<\/p>\n
Senate District 52 encompasses Cortland and Tompkins counties, as well as parts of Broome County.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019ve dedicated my life to helping others and showing up to fight the tough battles for our community and our country. I\u2019m a retired U.S. Army Veteran, retired firefighter and small business owner of 100% American-made graphic apparel. I\u2019m running for State Senate because our state government is in crisis and I feel called back to public service to help fix it,” said Bolles.<\/p>\n
Bolles is a 22-year U.S. Army veteran and spent almost 22 years with the Binghamton Fire Department.<\/p>\n
He’s also created Triple 1st Reponse, which specializes in “attitude apparel for people with attitude,” according to the Triple 1sts Response website.<\/p>\n
Bolles, a Republican, will face incumbent Democrat Sen.
