He has been an active artist for the past five\u00a0 years, during which time he\u2019s taken part in many group exhibitions, two residencies and had one solo show.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"666\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/TEDF_BULLA-AN-GARVL_24X36_Printmaking_2025.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28044\"  \/>BULLA AN GRAVL (2025) Ink On Carved Linoleum. 24\u201d x 36\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Artist statement:<\/p>\n<p>After practicing relief printmaking for 10 years, I developed an unorthodox approach \u2013 carving the block but not printing from it. I embrace the weight and volume of a mounted linoleum printing block,\u00a0 considering it the final artwork. This allows me to experiment with color more freely without destroying the block itself.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"802\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/TEDF_KEEP-ME-HONEST_2023_Printmaking_19x24inches1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28046\"  \/>KEEP ME HONEST (2023) Ink On Carved Linoleum. 19\u201d x 24\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I am inspired by musicians and athletes. Moments of spontaneity in melody and sport captivate me. I want to create an immense amount of movement in each piece, guiding the eyes across every inch of linoleum with striking colors and cuts. I tell jokes with my pieces. I believe the fine art realm is often too self-serious and risks falling into pretentiousness. My artistic philosophy is amusement before statement; or amusement as statement.
