RIVERDALE, the Bronx (PIX11) \u2014 A New York City school worker was arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of a 44-year-old man in the Bronx, according to police.<\/p>\n
Naya Brown, a 26-year-old employed by the Department of Education, was charged with murder on Tuesday, authorities said. A 37-year-old man named Pernell Warren was also arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon on Feb. 1, officials reported.<\/p>\n
More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n The pair was taken into custody in connection with the deadly shooting of 44-year-old Keon Gill on Jan. 25 in Riverdale, police said. Gil was shot in the chest at the intersection of West 242nd Street and Broadway around 2:50 a.m. and died at the hospital, according to authorities.<\/p>\n A 35-year-old man who was with Gill was shot in the knee, officials said. The victims were friends, sources said.<\/p>\n Police said Gill and his friend had left a restaurant near West 242nd Street before gunfire erupted after a fight with the suspects at the intersection of West 242nd Street and Broadway.<\/p>\n A third suspect, a man, has not yet been arrested.
