He was released without bail and is due back in court on May 8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Morris and his 20-year-old victim were leaving the party with a group of other people when they all jumped in a car to head to another gathering in Canarsie that night, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It was at the second party, after everyone but Morris and the victim had exited the car, that the cop forced himself on the victim as she pleaded with him stop and tried to push him off her, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The pair had known each other for about two years and shared mutual friends, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The victim told her cousin about the alleged rape later that day. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/site\/nypd\/bureaus\/investigative\/internal-affairs.page\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:NYPD\u2019s Internal Affairs Bureau;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">NYPD\u2019s Internal Affairs Bureau<\/a> investigated the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Morris joined the force on Oct. 19, 2022, and was most recently assigned to Police Service Area 1, which patrols NYCHA developments in Brooklyn.
