STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 South Shore residents and fast-food fans will soon enjoy Dunkin\u2019s sleek, modern store design at the newly remodeled Rossville location\u2014complete with contemporary style and cutting-edge beverage technology.<\/p>\n
The 1,100-square-foot store at 655 Rossville Ave. will celebrate its grand reopening and unveiling on Friday, Oct. 24, offering a special promotion for early visitors. The first 100 Dunkin\u2019 Rewards members in line at 3 p.m. will receive 100 days of free medium hot or iced coffee through the Dunkin\u2019 App. Guests must be Rewards members or sign up on-site to qualify.<\/p>\n
The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local dignitaries at 4:30 p.m., a prize wheel featuring Dunkin\u2019 merchandise, and free photo booth and face painting from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
As part of the reopening festivities, franchisee The Shree Group will donate $3,000 to the South Shore Community Food Pantry in partnership with the Dunkin\u2019 Joy in Childhood Foundation. The pantry focuses on providing support through food, guidance, and emotional wellness initiatives.<\/p>\n
The remodeled store features Dunkin\u2019s \u201cnext generation design,\u201d including a tap system serving eight consistently cold beverages\u2014such as iced coffee, cold brew, and nitro cold brew\u2014alongside high-end espresso machines for hand-crafted drinks. The location employs 10 crew members and operates daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
Dunkin\u2019 officially dropped \u201cDonuts\u201d from its name in January 2019, reflecting its growing emphasis on coffee and beverages, which comprised over 60% of sales by 2017. The brand began as \u201cOpen Kettle\u201d in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1948 before becoming Dunkin\u2019 Donuts in 1950.<\/p>\n
Today, Dunkin\u2019 operates in nearly 40 countries with more than 13,700 locations, making it the largest coffee and donut brand in the U.S. The company sells approximately 60 cups of coffee every second, totaling over 2 billion cups annually.<\/p>\n
