The store opened in 2017. The space was previously a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/2017\/05\/09\/openings-closings-johnny-was-kureiji-noi-due-carne-millennium-deli-more\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crocs store<\/a>. The brand has one other location in Manhattan at 1070 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side, according to its website. Photo by Natalie Demaree<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/locations.wendys.com\/united-states\/ny\/new-york\/2565-broadway?utm_source=Yext&amp;utm_medium=Google_My_Business&amp;utm_campaign=Local_Search&amp;utm_content=EN_US\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wendy\u2019s<\/a>, the fast food chain, opened a location at 2565 Broadway (between West 96th and 97th streets) in February. Hours posted on the website are 8 a.m. to 12 a.m., seven days a week. The burger chain has 12 locations in Manhattan, but this is the first one on the Upper West Side. Getir, the app-based grocery delivery company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/04\/30\/business\/getir-grocery-delivery-europe-us.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">which exited the U.S. market<\/a> in 2024, previously occupied the space. Photo by Natalie Demaree<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolorbarnyc.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kolorbar,<\/a> a full service hair salon located at 2301 Broadway (between West 83rd and 84th streets), is relocating on March 8th around the corner to 255 West 84th Street (between Broadway and West End Avenue), according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DVWMX34kUVg\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram post<\/a> and signage posted on the door. \u201cThank you for your understanding and continued support. We can\u2019t wait to welcome you back and continue making you look and feel your best,\u201d salon staff wrote in the Instagram post. The salon will reopen as KolorStudio, an employee told the Rag. The salon has two other UWS locations: 222 West 72nd Street (between Amsterdam and West End Avenue), and at 2490 Broadway (between West 93rd and 92nd streets.)\u00a0 (Thanks to Sue for the tip.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/PWR-NYC-72_Natalie-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-100321 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/PWR-NYC-72_Natalie-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\"  \/><\/a>This is the second UWS outlet for PWR NYC. Photo by Natalie Demaree<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwrnyc.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PWR NYC 72<\/a>, an Upper West Side personal and small group training fitness center, is opening a second location at 143 West 72nd Street (between Amsterdam and Columbus avenues), in April. PWR NYC\u2019s original location <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/2025\/07\/16\/openings-willets-restaurant-pwr-nyc-saperavi-white-birch-nail-leithium-bagel-talk-no-name-bakery\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">opened in July 2025<\/a> at 2284 Broadway (between West 82nd and 83rd streets). \u201cPWR 72 is simply an extension of what we\u2019ve built at our 82nd Street location. Thoughtful strength training, experienced coaching, and a supportive community,\u201d owner Carolyn Osborne wrote to West Side Rag in an email. \u201cThe new space allows us to expand our team, train more clients and roll out ideas we\u2019ve been excited to share with the neighborhood.\u201d The location will have set times for small group training sessions on weekdays and weekends and other private sessions \u2014 including one-on-one and duet sessions \u2014 by appointment, with coaches working from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., Osborne said. The fitness center is offering a pre-opening discount and founding client packages on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwrnyc.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">their website<\/a>. Photo by Natalie Demaree<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mr.byrdies\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Byrdie\u2019s Joint<\/a>, a casual eatery serving late night snacks, is opening this spring at 988 Amsterdam Avenue (between West 108th and 109th streets), according to signage posted on the door.\u00a0 Founded by couple Jenice (Jae) and Jon, Mr. Byrdie\u2019s Joint is a \u201cmom-and-pop shop\u201d that will serve \u201csandwiches, bites, wings and dessert,\u201d Jenice wrote to West Side Rag in an email. \u201cOur mission is simple: to create a welcoming neighborhood space where quality food, amazing flavor and modern uptown energy come together,\u201d she wrote. \u201cA place that feels just as right for Columbia students grabbing a late-night bite as it does for longtime Upper West Side families stopping in for something sweet.\u201d There will be specials and promotions offered during the grand opening celebration. We will update with details when an opening date is announced. La Constancera, a Dominican fusion cafe, was previously in the space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/United-Vein-Vascular-Center_Natalie-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-100320 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/United-Vein-Vascular-Center_Natalie-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\"  \/><\/a>This will be the first New York location for United Vein &amp; Vascular Centers. Photo by Natalie Demaree<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/unitedveincenters.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">United Vein &amp; Vascular Centers<\/a>, a vein treatment center, leased a space at 21 West 86th Street (between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue) in February, the leasing agent confirmed to West Side Rag.\u00a0 This will be the first location in New York, according to United Vein &amp; Vascular Centers\u2019 website.
