Long before Meadow Lane<\/a>, there was Dean & DeLuca \u2014 a luxury boutique grocer that first launched in Soho on Prince Street in 1977.<\/p>\n

While its US stores are long gone following a bankruptcy in 2020, house hunters can get a taste of co-founder Giorgio DeLuca\u2019s lifestyle now that his Hudson Square penthouse duplex is back on the market \u2014 asking $25,000 a month.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s only the second time that the aerie, at 40 Renwick St., has been on the market for rent since the building converted to co-ops in 1994.<\/p>\n

The lofty nest, which has been in multiple shelter magazines over the years, last listed in 2021, asking a higher $27,500 a month.<\/a><\/p>\n

As for the grocery chain, the brand was sold in 2014 to Pace Development, a Thai real estate firm, for $140 million. But it expanded too fast, couldn\u2019t pay its venders and ultimately filed for Chapter 11, from which it emerged in 2021.<\/p>\n

The brand, however, still exists as a licensed name in countries like Japan and Thailand.<\/p>\n

The main bedroom suite includes a spa-like bath and opens to the wrap terrace. Decked out in Brazilian ipe wood paneling, the landscaped outdoor hangout features various dining areas, a grill, a shower and an herb garden.<\/p>\n
