Kathy Hochul and other senior Democratic officials in New York have already expressed support for Mamdani.<\/p>\n<p>State Democratic Party Chair Jay Jacobs previously said he will not endorse Mamdani.<\/p>\n<p>Senate minority leader Charles Schumer has not yet endorsed anyone.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts say Mamdani&#8217;s progressive stances could be a liability for some in the Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<p>Early voting in New York begins on Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries has endorsed Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor.
