{"id":153075,"date":"2026-03-04T23:33:21","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T23:33:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/153075\/"},"modified":"2026-03-04T23:33:21","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T23:33:21","slug":"kristi-noems-husband-joins-her-in-congress-as-questions-swirl-about-relationship-with-corey-lewandowski","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/153075\/","title":{"rendered":"Kristi Noem&#8217;s husband joins her in Congress, as questions swirl about relationship with Corey Lewandowski"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn\u2019t deny an affair with top aide Corey Lewandowski when she was asked under oath during dramatic testimony before Congress.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The shocking exchange about her sex life came on Wednesday as Noem sat for questions before the House Judiciary Committee.\u00a0Her husband, Bryon, joined her in Congress for a second day and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/03\/us-news\/trump-admin-live-updates-march-3-4-5-26\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">sat behind his wife as lawmakers peppered her with questions.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Bryon\u00a0Noem had left the hearing to catch a flight, however, by the time the questions got spicy. His rare appearance came as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/13\/us-news\/corey-lewandowski-fired-coast-guard-pilot-for-leaving-kristi-noems-blanket-on-plane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">questions have swirl about Noem\u2019s relationship with Lewandowski<\/a>, a longtime Trump strategist who serves as a special employee at DHS.<\/p>\n<p>Byron Noem sits behind his wife during her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on March 4, 2026. Photo by Brendan SMIALOWSKI \/ AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Noem refused to directly answer when asked if she is having sexual relations with Lewandowski, calling the question \u201cgarbage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHave you had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski?\u201d Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-Calif.) asked Noem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am shocked that we\u2019re going down and peddling tabloid garbage in this committee today,\u201d Noem said in response. \u201cI would tell you is that he is a special government employee\u00a0who works for the White House. There are thousands of them in the federal government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kamlager-Dove pushed back, telling Noem: \u201cYou should be able to answer if someone asks if you or any federal official is sleeping with their subordinate. It\u2019s the easiest.\u00a0You should be wanting to answer that question.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is garbage,\u201d Noem responded.<\/p>\n<p>Bryon Noem left the hearing on Wednesday early.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about your judgment and decision making ,\u2019 Kamlager-Dove said. \u201cIt is about conflict of interest. It\u2019s about a national security risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Democrats didn\u2019t let up on the topic.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) repeated the allegation and Noem, again, refused to deny the alleged affair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really think you need to say the word\u00a0\u2018no\u2019 into the record so that you can clear that up,\u201d Moskowitz said.<\/p>\n<p>Bryon Noem looking on after Secretary Noem\u2019s testimony on March 3, 2026. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the ridiculousness of this and the tabloids that you are quoting and referencing are insane,\u201d Noem said. \u201cThis is a thing I have refuted for years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs that no?\u201d Moskowitz said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what you do,\u201d Noem said, blasting him as a member of the \u201cliberal left.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/03\/us-news\/trump-admin-live-updates-march-3-4-5-26\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Follow The Post\u2019s live coverage of President Trump and national politics for the latest news and analysis<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou say conservative women are stupid or sluts. I am neither,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Moskowitz ended his question time by announcing he had a gift for Noem. He held up a blanket, which was in reference to a report that Noem had the Coast Guard pilot of her government plane fired when he left her blanket behind.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Noem denied that report when questioned about it during the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Questions are swirling about Corey Lewandowski\u2019s relationship with Kristi Noem. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got you a new Coast Guard blankie for the\u00a0one you lost,\u201d Moskowitz said. \u201cThis is for you, you don\u2019t leave empty-handed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lewandowski, 49, was Trump\u2019s first 2016 campaign manager and widely credited with engineering his victory in the 2016 New Hampshire primary.<\/p>\n<p>However, Lewandowski\u2019s star began to fade after he was accused of manhandling Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields following a Trump press conference in March 2016.<\/p>\n<p>He also served as a \u201cvolunteer\u201d adviser to Noem when she was governor of South Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>Noem married Bryon Noem in 1992 in South Dakota. They have three children.
