{"id":15322,"date":"2025-10-24T19:08:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T19:08:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/15322\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T19:08:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T19:08:12","slug":"queens-teen-clinging-to-life-after-getting-beaten-stabbed-by-gang-of-a-dozen-muggers-who-steal-his-340-shoes-in-broad-daylight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/15322\/","title":{"rendered":"Queens teen clinging to life after getting beaten, stabbed by gang of a dozen muggers who steal his $340 shoes in broad daylight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 15-year-old high schooler is clinging to life after more than a dozen <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/17\/us-news\/nyc-youth-crime-doubled-since-controversial-state-raise-the-age-law-kicked-in-new-report-shows-bad-results\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">baby-faced muggers<\/a> beat him up, stabbed him and stole his $340 sneakers in broad daylight Wednesday, cops and sources said.<\/p>\n<p>The young victim was walking at 160th Street and Hillside Avenue in <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/tag\/queens\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jamaica<\/a> around 2:15 p.m. Friday when 13 strangers \u2013 who appeared to be teens themselves \u2013 stormed up to him and surrounded him, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The violent crew started fighting with their target before kicking and punching him all over his body \u2013 and one of the ruffians stabbed him repeatedly, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 15-year-old victim was walking at 160th Street and Hillside Avenue in Jamaica around 2:15 p.m. Friday when 13 other apparent teens pummeled and knifed him, cops said.  NYPD<\/p>\n<p>The savage group then ripped off the teen\u2019s black and yellow sneakers, worth $340, before taking off, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sources confirmed the victim is a high-schooler, but it is not clear which school he attends. Hillcrest High School is located a short distance from the scene. <\/p>\n<p>The violent crew got away with the teen\u2019s sneakers, worth $340, cops said. NYPD<\/p>\n<p>No arrests had been made in the brutal mugging by Friday.
