If you\u2019ve been looking for a new band that feels like Mastodon but has their own sense of scale and groove imbued in everything they do, look no further than Witch Ripper and their latest single \u201cThe Clock Queen\u201d. Featured on their forthcoming album Through The Hourglass, this new track isn\u2019t just great, but it helps tell the overarching story found in the band\u2019s third studio effort.<\/p>\n

Vocalist and guitarist Curtis Parker explains how this one song has an all-encompassing importance to the story they\u2019re trying to tell in their music.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018The Clock Queen\u2019 is the best representation of Witch Ripper in its purest form: Heavy. Melodic. Progressive. In our story, it represents the big reveal of who our antagonist meets in this world they\u2019ve found themselves in. Throughout the album, we peppered in what we call \u201cthe clock queen\u2019s theme,\u201d a melody that sneaks its way into almost every song at some point. This song is the culmination of that tension and it\u2019s when we finally meet the driving force of the album: The Clock Queen herself.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
