Yes, a highly interactive pop-up experience is coming to New York City on March 7 & 8. And if you head to this free NYC LEGO event, you\u2019ll be asked to choose your answer to the most important question in the galaxy: Light Side or Dark Side?<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what LEGO has to say about what you\u2019ll experience in this free Star Wars SMART Play adventure in NYC. \u201cFans\u00a0who come to the experience in New York\u2019s Flatiron district\u00a0must choose: Light Side or Dark Side?\u00a0Each path winds through a different corner of the galaxy, sending fans to iconic LEGO\u00a0Star Wars\u00a0destinations, from the deserts of Tatooine to the corridors of the Death Star.\u201d This experience will allow fans to get up close and personal with LEGO\u2019s Star Wars sets.<\/p>\n

This LEGO Star Wars SMART Play Pop-Up Experience Has Swag, Including Make and Take Lightsaber<\/p>\n

LEGO teases about the free NYC SMART Play pop-up event, \u201cParticipants will also receive vouchers for exclusive collectible cards\u00a0representing\u00a0their Light Side or Dark Side allegiance or a Companion card, redeemable at the nearby LEGO Store in the Flatiron District. Fans will also be able to\u00a0participate\u00a0in a free make-and-take lightsaber set at the LEGO Store while supplies last, including a SMART Tag for use with your LEGO SMART Play\u00a0Star Wars\u00a0sets.\u201d<\/p>\n

What If You\u2019re Not in NYC? Lightsaber Make and Take Pop-Ups Are Coming to Participating Stores Across the US<\/p>\n

While you can\u2019t get the full free LEGO Star Wars SMART Play pop-up experience if you\u2019re not in NYC, you CAN participate in the lightsaber make-and-take fun. Participating LEGO Stores across the US will be hosting these fun events to create lightsaber builds that you can\u2019t make anywhere else.<\/p>\n

The LEGO Group shares that you can build a Star Wars Lightsaber and take it home with you on Sunday, March 8th 2026, from 12-2 pm, and on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, from 12-2 pm at The LEGO Store at Garden State in Paramus, NJ, and at The LEGO Store at University Place in Orem, UT.
