The man dropped the gun during the pursuit. He was later apprehended.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cQuick-thinking by our observant officers helped get another illegal weapon off the streets,\u201d the New York Police Department said.
