Charles, 77, has long been credited for “modernising” the monarchy in his three-and-a-half years on the throne, in preparation for his son, Prince William, to one day become King.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And speaking on the latest episode of HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast, released on Friday, Getty’s royal photographer Chris Jackson revealed one “surreal” photograph he took that would “never” have been allowed in Queen Elizabeth’s reign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Chris, who has taken some of the most iconic photographs of the royal family over the years, spoke about how the picture came to light and the “buzz” of capturing the final shot, despite “some nerves”. He opens up about the experience in his new book, Modern Majesty The British Royal Family Today.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He said: “It’s quite a good example of how King Charles and Queen Camilla are doing things slightly differently in their new reign, their new era. It was absolutely crazy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I had done a recce, obviously, and I looked at the different angles and how the picture might work. But nothing prepares you for the actual moment on the day.”<\/p>\n
He continued: “I had a job to do. So I angled the screen on the back of my camera so I could get that elevated angle that we needed to get the crowds all in one shot. There were some nerves. I won’t lie. But when I saw it on the back of the camera and I realised that I’d got something, it was such a buzz.”<\/p>\n
