A 4-alarm fire Thursday night left massive destruction along a strip of businesses on East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx.<\/p>\n
\tThe FDNY says the fire broke out just before midnight in the attic of 1234 East Gun Hill Rd., between Pearsall and Throop avenues. It was upgraded to 4 alarms within 30 minutes, bringing hundreds of firefighters to battle the flames. It took them 2\u00bd hours to bring the fire under control.<\/p>\n
\tFire officials tell News 12 one firefighter was hospitalized with minor injuries and is expected to be OK.<\/p>\n
