MORRISANIA, the Bronx (PIX11) \u2014 A 27-year-old man was fatally shot in the head inside a Bronx NYCHA building Friday morning, as gun violence continues to plague the borough this year, police said.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened at the Forest Houses on East 165th Street in Morrisania at around 6:35 a.m., according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n
More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n The victim was found unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head inside the building, police said. He was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.<\/p>\n The man has not been identified.<\/p>\n There have been no arrests. A description of the shooter was not immediately available.<\/p>\n There have been 32 murders citywide, and 16 of them have been in the Bronx<\/a>, according to NYPD data.<\/p>\n Of the 85 shooting incidents this year, 37 were in the Bronx.
