{"id":156199,"date":"2026-03-07T14:19:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T14:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/156199\/"},"modified":"2026-03-07T14:19:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T14:19:08","slug":"nyc-will-bask-in-4-straight-days-of-warm-weather-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/156199\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC will bask in 4 straight days of warm weather this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here comes the sun!<\/p>\n<p>Now that the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/23\/us-news\/nyc-blizzard-officially-one-of-the-top-10-biggest-storms-on-record-and-more-snow-is-coming\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">snowy mess<\/a> has melted away, New Yorkers will finally be able to absorb some Vitamin D in the next four days.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, the temperature is expected to reach a high of 69 degrees in the tri-state area \u2014 the warmest it\u2019s been since the middle of October.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38704271\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/people-enjoying-weather-washington-square-109130873.jpg\" alt=\"People enjoying the weather in Washington Square Park.\" class=\"wp-image-38704271\"  \/>The temperature will reach a high of 69 degrees in the tri-state area on Wednesday, the warmest it\u2019s been since the middle of October. William Farrington<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the beginning of the warmer weather,\u201d AccuWeather senior meteorlogist Adam Douty told The Post Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSunday will finally break out of it. It starts out dreary and ugly, maybe there\u2019s something early in the morning as far as a shower. But a bit of sunshine returns in the afternoon and temperatures do warm quite significantly \u2026 but there will be a pretty dramatic change later next week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sunday will reach a high of 65 degrees, while Monday\u2019s temperatures will tick up to 66 \u2014 which will feel like 70. Tuesday will warm to 68 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMonday and Tuesday, there will be some clouds around. But generally speaking they should both be some very nice days,\u201d he said. \u201cThe wind will be fairly light and there will some fairly likely sunny periods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday will reach 69 degrees \u2014 not far from the record high of 73 set in 1977.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt may be getting a little bit breezy. Paul Martinka for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>Thursday cools down to 58 degrees, with a chance of rain, and Friday dips into the 40s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll have a cold front come through,\u201d Douty said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Here comes the sun!
