\u201cI\u2019d also mentioned how we do not want to see any large scale detention centers or expansions of detention centers here in the State of New York,\u201d she later said. \u201cThat has created anxiety all the way from Orange County to Suffolk County, to the North Country and Rochester.\u201d<\/p>\n
7News has also learned Homan had hoped to talk hospitals with Hochul, specifically North Star Health Alliance and the problems it\u2019s facing. North Star runs Carthage Area Hospital and Meadowbrook Terrace – both of which are in Homan\u2019s hometown area of West Carthage. There has been no confirmation from Homan that he did indeed bring up the topic.<\/p>\n
Hochul outlined her meeting with Homan in a public briefing Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
