{"id":156418,"date":"2026-03-07T21:50:22","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T21:50:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/156418\/"},"modified":"2026-03-07T21:50:22","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T21:50:22","slug":"saks-fifth-avenue-parent-closing-15-more-stores-in-bankruptcy-here-are-the-locations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/156418\/","title":{"rendered":"Saks Fifth Avenue parent closing 15 more stores in bankruptcy \u2014 here are the locations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saks\u00a0Global said\u00a0Friday\u00a0it was closing 15\u00a0more stores\u00a0as the luxury retailer, which <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/14\/business\/saks-fifth-avenue-files-for-bankruptcy-after-neiman-marcus-takeover-leads-to-financial-collapse\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">filed for bankruptcy<\/a> earlier this year, tries to cut losses and focus on more profitable, higher-end locations.<\/p>\n<p>The company has largely completed the process of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/10\/business\/saks-begins-closing-more-stores-as-part-of-bankruptcy-here-are-the-locations\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">shutting down underperforming stores<\/a> with Friday\u2019s announcement, but was still working\u00a0with some landlords to finalize its store count after weak sales led to the company defaulting on vendor payments and losing out on inventory\u00a0as\u00a0brands stopped shipping products last year,\u00a0it said.<\/p>\n<p>The company is closing <a href=\"https:\/\/filecache.investorroom.com\/mr5ir_saksglobal\/1236\/Saks_Fifth_Avenue_and_Neiman_Marcus_Store_Portfolio-Closing_Locations.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">12\u00a0Saks\u00a0Fifth Avenue stores and three Neiman Marcus locations<\/a>. Locations include stores in Chicago, Las Vegas, San Antonio and Tysons Va. Saks\u00a0had\u00a0shut most of its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/29\/business\/saks-off-5th-to-close-most-stores-liquidation-sales-start-saturday\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saks\u00a0OFF Fifth retail locations<\/a> and remaining Neiman Marcus Last Call stores in an earlier round of closures.<\/p>\n<p>Saks\u00a0said its inventory flow has improved with more than 500 brands resuming shipping and releasing nearly $1.3 billion in retail receipts.<\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 20, a US bankruptcy judge\u00a0gave final approval\u00a0to\u00a0Saks\u00a0Global\u2019s bankruptcy financing, which provided $1 billion in new funding to the company.
