Mayor Zohran Mamdani\u2019s wife \u2014 Rama Duwaji<\/a> \u2013 once liked a social media post claiming Hamas\u2019 rapes of Israelis during the Oct. 7, 2003 terror attack<\/a> were a \u201cmass hoax,\u201d according to a new report.<\/a><\/p>\n

NYC\u2019s first lady liked a February 2024 Instagram post by an anonymous pro-Palestine influencer questioning the validity of a New York Times report about sexually violent attacks by Hamas on civilians, according to a screenshot shared on X <\/a>Saturday by reporter Olivia Reingold of The Free Press.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I told you that The New York Times hired a recently graduated college student with only a couple prior articles written on the subject of food and cooking to be their lead on the ground \u2018reporter\u2019 on the \u2018mass rape\u2019 hoax they fabricated, would you believe it? That\u2019s Adam Sella,\u201d said @zei_squirrel in the hateful post.<\/p>\n

The Times has stood by its reporting<\/a> and many other media outlets, including The Post, has interviewed the rape victims.<\/p>\n

The post was one of 70 Reingold said she found where Duwaji took extreme positions against Israel and its supporters, according to her report published Saturday in The Free Press.<\/a><\/p>\n

They include one where the first lady liked a post claiming Israel is waging a \u201cvile land grab\u201d and another claiming pro-Palestine protesters who took over a Columbia University building<\/a> in 2024 are \u201con the right side of progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duwaji also reportedly liked a post calling on\u00a0the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> \u2013 whom her husband has said he\u2019d have arrested<\/a> if he came to NYC under his watch.<\/p>\n

She supported another screed calling President Biden \u201cButcher Biden\u201d and stating the Israel-friendly pol\u2019s \u201clegacy is genocide.\u201d\u201d<\/p>\n

The new report comes after The Jewish Insider reported Friday that Duwaji liked a celebratory Instagram post on the day of Hamas\u2019 Oct. 7, 2023, which killed more than 1,200 innocents. <\/p>\n

The inflammatory social media posts\u00a0included images allegedly taken from livestreamed footage of the attack, showing a gleeful group riding on what appeared to be a commandeered Israel Defense Forces vehicle with the words \u201cresisting apartheid since 1948,\u201d the Jewish Insider reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBreaking the walls of apartheid and military occupation,\u201d read another image on the same post, which the outlet reported showed a bulldozer used by terrorists to breach the barrier between Gaza and Israel that day.<\/p>\n

The report said Duwaji, 28, also liked a post from the left-wing organization People\u2019s Forum NYC that called for support for \u201cPalestinian resistance,\u201d while advertising a protest against Israel the day after Hamas\u2019 rampage which saw 251 hostages taken.<\/p>\n

Mamdani on Friday claimed his wife <\/a>isn\u2019t a public figure \u2013 despite receiving fawning media coverage in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife is the love of my life, and she\u2019s also a private person who has held no formal position on my campaign or in my City Hall,\u201d Mamdani told reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI, however, was elected to represent all 8.5 million people in the city. And I believe that it\u2019s my responsibility because of that role to answer questions about my thoughts and my politics, and my stances.\u201d<\/p>\n
