A woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly firing several shots with a rifle at the LA mansion of pop star Rihanna, with one bullet piercing a wall of the home, a law enforcement source told the Post.<\/p>\n
Authorities are now working to determine a motive. A source told the Post that A$AP Rocky and Rihanna<\/a> \u2018don\u2019t know much\u2019 and they\u2019re in the dark<\/a> as to why this happened. <\/p>\n Photos from the scene showed yellow police tape outside the singer\u2019s home. LAPD officers were also seen closing off the street near the star\u2019s property.<\/p>\n Yellow tape lined an LA street after a woman was arrested after allegedly firing several shots with a rifle at Rihanna\u2019s mansion. Los Angeles police said officers responded to reports of gunfire around 1:21 p.m. and quickly took a female suspect into custody. <\/p>\n A source close to the family told the Post, \u2018they are all doing okay.\u2019 No one was injured, according to LAPD. <\/p>\n A$AP Rocky was not home at the time<\/a> of the shooting, a family source confirmed to the Post.<\/p>\n Police say the suspect fired between seven and nine rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. Four of the rounds struck the house. Investigators were seen examining an Airstream trailer parked in the home\u2019s driveway according to NBC LA<\/a>.<\/p>\n Authorities are now working to determine the motive. The suspect then sped off in a white Tesla, heading south on Coldwater Canyon Drive, according to the dispatch audio.<\/p>\n As police searched for the Tesla, they relayed details over the radio: the suspect\u2019s hair was in braids; she wore a cream-colored blouse; her car was dirty on the bottom, according to the Los Angeles Times. <\/p>\n The suspect was later caught and arrested at a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks about 30 minutes after the 911 call came in, according to the Times. She has been described as a 30-year-old woman by the LA Times<\/a>, other outlets describe her as a woman in her 30s<\/a>.<\/p>\n Some of those who live in the neighborhood heard the shots being fired.<\/p>\n \u201cI was just washing dishes in my house, and I heard shots,\u201d Isabel Thorne told the Post. \u201cI was a little shocked. You know, we don\u2019t hear that kind of thing in this neighborhood.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s pretty quiet. It sounded just like a loud pop. So we\u2019re kind of shocked. I don\u2019t know what to think. I just heard, like, one shot,\u201d Thorne said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was really loud, and everything echoes in this valley, so you can hear everything out here. Even when someone has a party, you can hear the music, you know, a shot. It\u2019s not something you expect,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have a neighborhood chat, so everybody started hearing the police scanners saying there was gunshots,\u201d Thorne told the Post.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s always these tour buses coming up and down, so everybody here knows that Rihanna lives there,\u201d she continued. \u201cNobody should have to deal with being in fear in your own home. I see people going in and out, but the street is pretty quiet. You know, it\u2019s just LA. Unfortunately, it\u2019s become something that\u2019s normal.\u201d<\/p>\n Another neighbor, Keith England, told the Post, \u201cI didn\u2019t see anything. I heard. I was working on music, minding my own business, middle of the afternoon, and then bam, bam, and it\u2019s like, it\u2019s a pretty unmistakable sound. Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, like probably ten shots.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just one of those things, it\u2019s like, that\u2019s not a car backfiring, that\u2019s not fireworks, that\u2019s somebody shooting a gun, as it turns out it was,\u201d England said.<\/p>\n \u201cI came running out, we both said, did you hear that? I said, \u2018hit the floor,\u2019 because you never know how close it is,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, you could always get hit by a\u2026 I didn\u2019t think they were shooting at me, but you never know. And that was it. And then it was a pretty good while before the police got here.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou don\u2019t usually expect for there to be drive-by shootings in a place like this, but they\u2019re everywhere now,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n \u201cWe did know, you know, who lives up there and thought, hmm, I wonder if it\u2019s got anything to do with that, but, which it turns out it did,\u201d England said.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel really bad for them because it\u2019s like they just can\u2019t get any peace. And so that was obviously a thought,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was scary but you know I can\u2019t imagine being in the house because you\u2019re hearing the bullets hitting and that sort of stuff so yeah that was scary and police I mean they made that arrest pretty quick.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer reportedly lives in a colonial-style mansion with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky \u2014 share kids RZA, 3, Riot Rose, 2, and 5-month-old Rocki Irish Mayers.
