(WIBW) &#8211; A man was arrested early Sunday in Manhattan in connection with multiple counts including fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers and driving under the influence, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The arrested man was identified as Mateo Hyman, 22, of Topeka.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Riley County police official said the incident was reported around 3:36 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Manhattan Avenue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"A man was arrested early Sunday in Manhattan in connection with multiple counts including...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1773073868_138_QMRODRTYBJOTZDAMAFFT62ZOWA.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"650\" \/>A man was arrested early Sunday in Manhattan in connection with multiple counts including fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers and driving under the influence, officials said.(WIBW)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to Riley County police reports, a 19-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 22-year-old man &#8212; later identified as Hyman &#8212; was listed as the suspect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Riley County Police officials said the victim and suspect in the case were known to each other.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Following his arrest, Hyman was booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement officers; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; aggravated battery; DUI causing bodily harm; failure to stop at an accident; driving while suspended; and not having vehicle liability insurance. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hyman was issued a total bond of $20,000. He had posted bond and been released from jail as of Monday morning, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WIBW.
