MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) \u2014 Two men working on a film production were injured early Monday when a box truck struck equipment at a Manhattan movie shoot, officials said.<\/p>\n
The call came in around 6:02 a.m. at West Houston Street and Sullivan Street, in front of 124 W. Houston St., according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n
A white box truck traveling west on West Houston Street hit a lift that was holding a 34\u2011year\u2011old man, causing him to fall to the ground, police said. A 66\u2011year\u2011old man who was on the ground was then struck by the falling lift.<\/p>\n
The truck continued westbound toward Sixth Avenue and did not remain at the scene, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Both men were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions were not immediately released.<\/p>\n
Neighbors told PIX11 they were shocked by the incident. Members of the production crew declined to speak on camera.<\/p>\n
Police are still searching for the box truck driver.<\/p>\n
