Hero cops saved a terrified brown puppy called Moose from underneath a No. 2 train at 14th street in a dramatic \u2014 and heartwarming \u2014 moment captured on newly released video. <\/p>\n
The petrified pup had escaped from a nearby doggy day care facility after someone left the door open \u2014 and was spotted cowering under the train car by onlookers who called cops, according to the NYPD and police sources.<\/p>\n
Detective Frank Sarro crawled along the tracks, whistling and made kissing noises to coax Moose out from under the train, in bodycam footage released by the NYPD on social media<\/a> yesterday.<\/p>\n Moose seemed terrified after the ordeal, but officers were very protective of the lost pup. William Farrington<\/p>\n Bodycam footage showed Moose\u2019s rescue. Instagram\/nypd<\/p>\n \u201cC\u2019mon buddy,\u201d Sarro said while he searched for the pup, flashlight in hand.<\/p>\n Thankfully, Sarro was able to grab Moose, who didn\u2019t protest while being carried to safety. <\/p>\n \u201cAw he\u2019s adorable,\u201d said another officer, as the dog and his rescuer emerged from the tracks.<\/p>\n Officer Tavares of Transit 2 offered to keep the dog until its owner was located. William Farrington<\/p>\n Moose was safely reunited with his owner. Instagram\/nypd<\/p>\n Multiple uniformed officers fawned over the furry pup, petting and cuddling him. <\/p>\n The adorable pooch stared at all his rescuers with wide brown eyes, not making a sound.<\/p>\n Moose was brought to a precinct nearby, and reunited with his owner, who has not been publicly identified.<\/p>\n Once back in familiar arms, the pup seemed much more relaxed, panting with his pink tongue out.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
