The NYPD is investigating after four people were shot inside a Canarsie bar early Sunday morning.\n<\/p>\n

According to law enforcement sources, the incident unfolded just after 5 a.m. on March 8 inside Richard\u2019s Restaurant and Bar, located on 94th Street and Avenue L, when cops say they received 911 calls reporting that multiple people had been shot. Upon arrival, responding officers from the\u00a069th Precinct<\/a> discovered a 43-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg, a 44-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg, and a second 44-year-old man with a bullet wound to the arm. Upon further investigation, police also learned that a 38-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.<\/p>\n

EMS responded and rushed the 43-year-old woman to Kings County Hospital, while the two 44-year-old men were taken to Brookdale Hospital. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old woman made her own way to Brookdale Hospital. All those wounded were listed in stable condition and are expected to survive.<\/p>\n

Police said they do not yet have a motive for the shooting or a description of a gunman.\n<\/p>\n

It appeared the shooting originated outside, with the gunman aiming into the bar. Several shell casings could be observed on the street with bullet holes visible in the window. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n

The incident comes on the heels of a Sunset Park shooting that left a 14-year-old boy dead<\/a> when an argument erupted in gun violence on March 6.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gun violence in Brooklyn was up in February compared to the same period last year, according to the latest NYPD statistics,<\/a> though shootings in the borough are down year-to-date.\u00a0<\/p>\n
