(AP Photo\/Julius Constantine Motal)<\/p>\nIt\u2019s a \u201cjoyful\u201d time down in Wutopia South \u2013 where the socialist mayor with a terrorist sympathizer wife has his own alternate reality \u2013 downplaying attacks on police and an ISIS-inspired terror attack at his own doorstep.<\/p>\n
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani \u2013 who is openly anti-Israel and accused of being antisemitic \u2013 this week passed on a chance to fully condemn the terrorists who tossed explosive devices at an anti-Muslim protest near the mayor\u2019s mansion.<\/p>\n
Instead he blasted the right win organizer of the anti-Muslim rally. In general he seemed more outraged by that then the terror attack.<\/p>\n
\u201cSuch hate has no place in New York City,\u201d Mamdani said on Sunday. \u201cIt is an affront to our city\u2019s values and the unity that defines who we are.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cViolence at a protest is never acceptable,\u201d he added, addressing the ISIS-backed attack. \u201cThe attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are.\u201d<\/p>\n
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu \u2013 who claims she isn\u2019t a socialist but whose policies are socialist \u2013 and Mamdani are linked by their views and love for each other\u2019s politics.\u00a0 She praised his campaign last year as \u201cjoyful\u201d and \u201cinspiring\u201d and Mamdani has said the Boston mayor is his role model.<\/p>\n
Yet the ISIS attack is not the first time Mamdani, who is Muslim, has been criticized for failing to fully condemn acts of hate and violence by terrorists.<\/p>\n
Mamdani\u2019s wife, Rama Duwaji, liked several social media posts celebrating the Hamas attack against Israel on Oct. 7, 2023 \u2013 which sparked a war that killed thousands.<\/p>\n
Yet Mamdani \u2013 who is openly anti-Israel \u2013 claims she is a \u201cprivate person\u201d who doesn\u2019t deserve scrutiny, even though the mayor\u2019s office and Duwaji cooperated with fawning magazine profiles of her.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife is the love of my life, and she\u2019s also a private person who has held no formal position on my campaign or in my City Hall,\u201d Mamdani said when confronted with the horrific likes by his wife.<\/p>\n
\u201cI, however, was elected to represent all 8.5 million people in the city. And I believe that it\u2019s my responsibility because of that role to answer questions about my thoughts and my politics, and my stances.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nowhere in that comment was there any condemnation of his wife\u2019s position.<\/p>\n
The question should be asked: Do you agree with your wife or not? She is supporting terrorists.<\/p>\n
Mamdani was at odds with his own police commissioner about an attack on police that started with cops being pelted by ice and snow balls in their heads and backs \u2013 which union officials said were packed with rocks.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s now known as \u201cSnowballgate.\u201d Videos showed it was clearly not \u2013 as Mamdani claims \u2013 kids having a snowball fight, yet he refuses to admit that.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I\u2019ve said in regards to the snowball fight is that, it\u2019s a snowball fight that got out of hand,\u201d Mamdani said.<\/p>\n
But top cop Jessica Ticsch was forced to use stronger words, saying she supported police officers, several of whom had to be taken to the\u00a0 hospital to be examined for injuries.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will hold this department to the highest standards,\u201d Tisch said. \u201cWhen those standards are met, I will always be fiercely protective of you, and as you\u2019ve seen recently, I certainly will not tolerate any attacks on my cops.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tisch, who was appointed before Mamdani was elected, was true to her word. Against Mamdani\u2019s wishes, she arrested one of the ice-throwing suspects. Police are looking for the other suspects.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe (the mayor) does not believe this rises to the level of criminal charges,\u201d a Mamdani spokesman said.<\/p>\n
