Brooklyn<\/a> detectives are on the hunt for the killer who shot a man dead early on Tuesday morning.\n<\/p>\n Police said the victim, a 38-year-old man, was discovered inside a vehicle parked in front of 2590 West 35th St. in Coney Island during the early hours of March 10.\n<\/p>\n Officers from the 60th Precinct<\/a> found the victim shot multiple times in the torso and arm. Responding EMS units pronounced him dead at the scene; police have not yet released his identity, pending family notification.<\/p>\n The discovery was made as officers investigated a ShotSpotter<\/a> activation three blocks away at 1 Ocean Drive, off Surf Avenue, at approximately 1:37 a.m. Tuesday morning. ShotSpotter is the NYPD\u2019s network of sensors designed to pick up possible sounds of gunfire, and evoke a rapid response.<\/p>\n When cops arrived at the Ocean Drive location, police said, witnesses informed them that multiple shots had been fired there. Police then launched a canvass of the surrounding area for potential victims and evidence, leading them to the victim on West 35th Street.<\/p>\n After sunrise Tuesday morning, detectives were still working to confirm whether the victim was shot at Ocean Drive.\n<\/p>\n So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
