{"id":159279,"date":"2026-03-10T15:49:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T15:49:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/159279\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T15:49:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T15:49:15","slug":"mysterious-zorro-ranch-once-owned-by-epstein-searched-by-new-mexico-authorities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/159279\/","title":{"rendered":"Mysterious Zorro Ranch once owned by Epstein searched by New Mexico authorities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Mexico authorities on Monday started <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/18\/real-estate\/heres-who-bought-jeffrey-epsteins-new-mexico-ranch\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">searching the notorious New Mexico ranch<\/a> where late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is accused of running a sick \u201cbaby-making\u201d operation \u2014 and where a staffer once claimed strangled girls are buried.<\/p>\n<p>The New Mexico Department of\u00a0Justice\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nmdoj.gov\/press-release\/statement-from-new-mexico-department-of-justice-spokesperson-regarding-todays-search-of-the-former-zorro-ranch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced\u00a0<\/a>that\u00a0it started searching Epstein\u2019s former Zorro Ranch on Monday morning at the direction of Attorney General Ra\u00fal Torrez, alongside local and state police.<\/p>\n<p>Torrez reopened an investigation into the ranch last month, where the convicted sex offender once entertained guests, 30 miles south of Santa Fe. An original case opened to investigate the secretive outpost was closed in 2019 at the request of federal prosecutors in New York.<\/p>\n<p>New Mexico authorities launched a search on Monday of the notorious Zorro Ranch, previously owned by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. REUTERS<\/p>\n<p>State prosecutors have since argued that \u201crevelations outlined in the previously sealed FBI files warrant further examination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although the statement did not specify exactly what revelations were the focus of the search, they include long-running claims that the pervert flew girls there \u2014 and allegedly planned to get many pregnant.<\/p>\n<p>Most disturbingly, a document in the Epstein files shows that a staffer once reported that \u201csomewhere in the hills outside the Zorro, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/18\/real-estate\/heres-who-bought-jeffrey-epsteins-new-mexico-ranch\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">two foreign girls were buried on orders of Jeffrey and Madam G.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth died by strangulation during rough, fetish sex,\u201d alleged the unsubstantiated missive by the former employee whose name was redacted.<\/p>\n<p>Epstein has never been charged with criminal wrongdoing in New Mexico, but the state attorney general\u2019s office said in 2019 that it had interviewed possible victims who visited the massive ranch. <\/p>\n<p>New Mexico state legislators also established a new commission last month to\u00a0look into whether the desert ranch was used to facilitate sexual abuse and sex trafficking.<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/18\/real-estate\/heres-who-bought-jeffrey-epsteins-new-mexico-ranch\/#\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/p>\n<p>Epstein has never been charged with criminal wrongdoing in New Mexico, but the state attorney general\u2019s office said in 2019 that it had interviewed possible victims who visited the massive ranch. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis search is part of the criminal investigation announced by the New Mexico Department of Justice on February 19th into allegations of illegal activity at Epstein\u2019s ranch prior to Epstein\u2019s 2019 death,\u201d the state DOJ wrote in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>Authorities noted that they have had the cooperation of the ranch\u2019s current property owners, who have allowed access for the search. <\/p>\n<p>The dead child sex trafficker <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/18\/real-estate\/heres-who-bought-jeffrey-epsteins-new-mexico-ranch\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bought Zorro Ranch in 1993<\/a> from former Democratic Gov. Bruce King \u2014 building a sprawling property that included a 26,700-square-foot hacienda-style mansion, guest houses, a pool, ranch offices, a firehouse, heated garages, a private airstrip, a hangar and a helipad.<\/p>\n<p>New Mexico state legislators also established a new commission last month to\u00a0look into whether the desert ranch was used to facilitate sexual abuse and sex trafficking. AP<\/p>\n<p>The property was later sold by Epstein\u2019s estate in 2023 and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/18\/real-estate\/heres-who-bought-jeffrey-epsteins-new-mexico-ranch\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">purchased by the family of former Texas state Sen.
