The NYPD says it is investigating a \u201csuspicious device\u201d found in the vicinity of Gracie Mansion on the Upper East Side.<\/p>\n
The department said it received a call reporting a suspicious package in the area of East End Avenue and East 88th Street at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n
As of 1:20 p.m., police had closed the streets around the mansion to pedestrian and car traffic due to a \u201csuspicious device.\u201d<\/p>\n
ADVISORY: Due to a suspicious device, East End Avenue between East 85th and East 87th Street, as well as East 86th Street between York Avenue and East End Avenue are closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Additionally, Carl Schurz Park is closed at this time.<\/p>\n
