The upcoming Broadway bow of Mark Rosenblatt<\/a>‘s play Giant<\/a> has revealed its rush and lottery ticket policy.<\/p>\n

A limited number of in-person rush tickets will be available at 10 AM the day of each performance (and at 12 PM on Sundays beginning March 29) at the Music Box Theatre box office. Rush tickets are $45, subject to availability, with a limit of two per person.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Additionally, digital lottery tickets will be available starting at 12 AM ET the day before each performance at Rush.Telecharge.com<\/a>. Winners will be\u00a0drawn at 10 AM and 3 PM ET, and winning entrants will be notified by email shortly after each drawing. Winners will have five hours to claim and purchase tickets online, and\u00a0may buy up to two tickets at $49 each. Lottery tickets may be made available subject to availability.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Starring\u00a0John Lithgow<\/a> as children’s book author Roald Dahl<\/a>, the play begins at the Music Box Theatre March 11, with opening night set for March 23. Two-time Tony winner Nicholas Hytner<\/a> is at the helm after staging the work’s U.K. premiere.<\/p>\n

Lithgow reprises his Olivier-winning performance from the play’s West End run, alongside fellow London cast members Elliot Levey<\/a>, reprising his Olivier-winning performance as Dahl’s Jewish publisher, Tom Maschler; Aya Cash<\/a> (The Boys) as U.S. publisher Jessie Stone; and Rachael Stirling<\/a> as Felicity Crosland.<\/p>\n

They are supported by\u00a0Stella Everett<\/a> (Running Point) as Hallie and David Manis<\/a> (To Kill a Mockingbird) as Wally, along with understudies Geoffrey Cantor (The Lehman Trilogy), Annie H\u00e4gg (Hunters), Eleanor Handley<\/a> (Unforgettable), and Paul O’Brien<\/a> (Six Degrees of Separation). Casting is by Daniel Swee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The play comes on the heels of a broader cultural conversation about Dahl’s work and the prejudice that was embedded in many of his stories. In 2023, hundreds of words in Dahl’s books were either altered or omitted from future printings in order to remove countless negative references to race, skin color, ethnicity, gender, disabilities, and more.<\/p>\n

The London production earned three 2025 Olivier Awards, including Best New Play alongside Lithgow and Levey’s acting wins. Read what critics had to say about the U.K. run here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The production will feature scenic and costume design by Bob Crowley<\/a>, lighting design by Anna Watson<\/a>, sound design by Darron L West<\/a>, wig, hair, and makeup design by Campbell Young Associates<\/a>, and production management by Juniper Street Productions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brian and Dayna Lee<\/a>, Stephanie Kramer<\/a> and Nicole Kramer<\/a>, Josh Fiedler<\/a> and Robyn Goodman<\/a>, and Royal Court Theatre are producing the transfer. <\/p>\n
