New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch found himself under heavy criticism after a series of leaked emails revealed that he communicated with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Weeks after the NFL announced it would gather more information on the matter, Tisch and his family made a telling decision.

ESPN insider Adam Schefter reported that Steve, Laurie and Jonathan Tisch requested to transfer their stakes in the team. The stakes would go to their children’s trusts.

The move is subject to approval by the league’s finance committee, according to a memo. If approved, the siblings won’t have any interest in the team.

“Prior transfers to these Trusts were completed pursuant to 2023 and 2024 Finance Committee approvals,” the memo, dated March 11, states.

“The Sellers now propose to transfer their entire remaining interests, totaling 23.1% of the Club, to the Trusts. … Following the transactions, the Sellers will no longer own any interest in the Club.”

Contrary to what Tisch said when his name first came up in the Epstein files, the Giants’ co-owner didn’t have a “brief” relationship with Epstein. The Athletic reported in February that they first linked up for breakfast.

At the time of that first encounter, Epstein was sued repeatedly by sex abuse victims. Documents showed that Epstein introduced Tisch to at least four women. Those women pursued careers in acting and modeling.

Once one labeled Tisch as “weird,” Epstein stopped introducing women to the producer. They last talked in August 2017.
