It seems the New York Jets have figured out who they want as their starting offensive line in 2026. <\/p>\n
Following the free agent departures of Alijah Vera-Tucker and John Simpson, New York had a roster hole at its starting left guard position. They hope the free-agent signing of Dylan Parham<\/a> will address that need next season.<\/p>\n Parham, 26, joins a Jets offensive line that was quietly one of the best in football last season. With the development of Olu Fashanu and seventh overall pick Armand Membou, New York\u2019s line was the lone bright spot on an otherwise lost season.<\/p>\n How will the group look now? What they received in Parham is someone who played better than Simpson last season. <\/p>\n Parham\u2019s 63.6 Pro Football Focus<\/a> rating was 38th among 81 guards across the league last year. Simpson, meanwhile, recorded a 56.9 PFF grade<\/a>.<\/p>\n Based on those scores, the argument can be made that the Jets actually upgraded at left guard for the exact same value. (Simpson signed a three-year, $30 million deal<\/a> with Baltimore at $10 million AAV.)<\/p>\n Outside of Parham, the Jets\u2019 starting unit is set. <\/p>\n Armand Membou and Olu Fashanu are two of the top young tackle duos in the sport. Joe Tippmann, meanwhile, is considered a riser (and potential young star) at guard and is eligible for a contract extension.<\/p>\n New York\u2019s next focus will be on the depth of the unit. <\/p>\n
